    Reception of the sorbent Polysorb MP is well tolerated by the human body, but in some cases it can cause individual negative reactions. If the patient has a tendency to constipation, the medicine should be used with caution, using at least 2.5 liters of liquid during the day to ensure sufficient production of mucous secretion in the intestinal cavity. When prescribing long (more than 14 days) courses of therapy, one should consider the possibilities for compensating for the deficiency of vitamins and minerals, the absorption of which in this case will be impaired. Only a suitably qualified doctor can prescribe and select the appropriate multivitamin.

    Contraindications

    Among the contraindications to the use of the drug is the presence of bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract. You can not prescribe treatment for exacerbation of stomach ulcers. Cases of use with intestinal atony can lead to the development of severe negative symptoms. The presence of individual intolerance to one or more of the components is the reason for canceling the admission.

    Application during pregnancy

    There is no information on the manifestation of negative reactions when using the drug Polysorb MP in pregnant women. To prevent the formation of calcium deficiency with prolonged use, and the washing out of vitamins from tissues, it is necessary to prescribe to the patient vitamin-mineral complexes that meet safety requirements in terms of their composition. In case of intestinal poisoning, indigestion, the drug is prescribed in a daily dosage of 10 to 12 g, with a three-time single dose. With gestosis and toxicosis, as well as preventive purposes, to prevent their appearance, pregnant women are prescribed the use of a sorbent in a minimum single dosage, 3 g each. The length of the course of treatment is selected until the symptoms of toxic damage to the body are eliminated. The prophylactic course is recommended to be repeated after 3 weeks to prevent toxicosis in the future.

    Method and features of application

    Recommendations for the use of the drug Polysorb MP imply careful compliance with the manufacturer's requirements. The medicine has wide range actions. When treating alcohol dependence, relieving symptoms of acute intoxication, obtained from the use of alcohol-containing products and drinks, the powder and the suspension prepared from it are prescribed to eliminate the manifestations of withdrawal symptoms when exiting hard drinking. The duration of treatment is 10 days, with the introduction of the drug three times during the day, one single dose. It is permissible to prescribe to the elderly, people with renal, hepatic diseases. Children with poisoning, stomach upset, bloating, belching are prescribed a drug in a volume calculated based on the child's body weight. The aqueous suspension is taken on an empty stomach, 60 minutes before a meal or 90 minutes after it. In the treatment of acute allergic reactions associated with food intake, it is necessary to ensure the intake of enterosorbent inside immediately before eating. In case of toxic lesions of the body of unknown etiology, the appearance of fever, vomiting, nausea, signs of dehydration, the drug is recommended for use to solve problems associated with the elimination of toxic substances from the body. V childhood the reasons for the appointment are:

  • dermatological problems associated with the appearance of skin rashes, itching, irritation, discoloration of the skin;
  • intestinal infections diagnosed and identified;
  • poisoning of poor quality food products;
  • dysbiosis different etiology in childhood.
  • When using the drug Polysorb MP in adult patients, cases of treatment of people with chronic renal failure are considered separately. The sorbent reduces the likelihood of poisoning with urea and its decomposition products, other nitrogenous compounds. The duration of taking the medicine in this case is up to 30 days, a single dosage is 3 g, repetition is required three times during the day. The break between courses, with a chronic form of the disease, is 3 weeks. In case of acute poisoning, cases of intoxication with a short-term effect, exacerbation of diseases, the drug is available for use in a short-term mode, using no more than 3-5 days in a row. The standard dosage of Polysorb MP for an adult is from 100 to 200 mg per 1 kg of body weight. During the day, it is forbidden to use the powder in the form of a ready-made suspension in the amount of 20 g. Exceeding the dosage can lead to the formation of individual negative reactions. An aqueous suspension is prepared by mixing a powdery substance with boiled water 50-100 ml at a time. It is recommended to drink the suspension immediately after preparation. You can store the finished product for no more than 48 hours in the refrigerator (without freezing).

    Polysorb MP is a domestic enterosorbent drug based on colloidal silicon dioxide. The history of the use of enterosorbents in medicine dates back to ancient times. More Aesculapius Ancient egypt, Greece, India used clay and charcoal to treat various kinds of poisoning, dysentery, uremia. In Ancient Russia, mainly birch charcoal was used for these purposes. The first who suggested using enterosorbents not only in extreme situations requiring urgent intervention, but also for preventive purposes, was the great Avicenna, who put methods of cleaning the body in third place among the seven postulates of medical science. Last years marked by the increased interest of medical science in enterosorption. There are several groups of enterosorbents on the domestic pharmaceutical market today: these are activated carbon, which is available in all home first-aid kits, without exception, lignins (examples are lignosorb, polyphepan), microcellulose, smectites, glucans and preparations based on silicon dioxide. The last group belongs to the polysorb MP - the "hero" of this article. This drug answers all those high requirements, put forward to enterosorbents: no toxicity and traumatic effects on the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract, good organoleptic, sorption and evacuation properties. According to its chemical "pedigree", polysorb MP is highly dispersed silica. Rounded particles of a substance up to 0.09 mm in size provide a large specific sorption area - not less than 300 m2 / g, exceeding that of “competitors” preparations. So, for activated carbon, this figure is 1.5-2m2 / g; for polyphepan - 10-15m2 / g. Smecta got closest to the MP polysorb, but it also has it three times less - about 100 m2 / g. For comparison: the surface of the intestinal mucosa in an adult is on average 200 m2. Polysorb MP powder dissolves well in water, easily binds to proteins, and has a high osmotic potential.

    Easily sticking bacteria together with the formation of large conglomerates, the drug interferes with their normal life, thereby exhibiting bacteriostatic properties. The list of "enemies" of MP polysorb, falling under its detoxifying effect, in addition to toxins, includes various antigens (allergens); normal metabolites present in excess for the body (ammonia, bilirubin, creatinine, cholesterol, lipids), other and biologically active substances that contribute to the development of endogenous intoxication. The drug quickly and completely binds and removes various poisons from the body, including ethanol and medicines. The medical literature describes cases of successful use of the drug for botulism. Polysorb MP not only cleanses the body of pathogens and toxins, but also removes an impressive part of the load from detoxifying organs and systems, eliminates gaps in the immune "chain mail", indirectly stimulates the performance of organs involved in maintaining homeostasis. The drug has no negative effect on digestion processes, protein synthesis and nitrogen balance. There is a positive experience in the treatment of allergies to drugs and foodstuffs with Polysorb MP, as well as the use of the drug in complex therapy dermatological diseases including eczema and psoriasis. Considering the fact that gastrointestinal tract is the place of circulation and distribution of creatinine, urea, ammonia, the drug is in demand in nephrology for therapy chronic insufficiency kidney function. Polysorb MP can also be used in cardiology to correct cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels in patients with atherosclerosis. In oncology, the drug is used to relieve tumor intoxication and mitigate the effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. As a result of the above, we should pay tribute to the versatility of the MP polysorb, which makes it possible to use this unique drug in almost any branch of medicine.

    The child's body is in the process of formation and cannot always resist bacteria, allergens and toxins. And at the same time, the child continuously learns the world, managing to contact with a much larger number of harmful and toxic compounds than adults. That is why it is so often necessary to give Polysorb to children. The instructions for use even have a special section with detailed dosages for different ages.

    You will learn:

    When to give a sorbent to a child?

    The need to use sorbents is most often associated with food poisoning, and this is a completely correct approach. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea are direct indications for the use of Polysorb. However, it should be borne in mind that to poison children's organism can not only food: most bacteria and viruses, provoking colds are quite toxic. An adult feels their influence as a characteristic aches in muscles and joints, and for children under one year old, such poisoning can be deadly. Polysorb for children in such a situation is practically the only way to get rid of nausea and weakness.

    Polysorb can be given to a child at a temperature - to reduce the negative effects of heat on the body. When it comes to ARVI, angina, pyelonephritis, bronchitis and any infectious diseases, the sorbent will be needed after the acute phase - until complete recovery.

    Allergic reactions, dermatitis and eczema are very painful for a child, and they are found in many babies. Polysorb for children in this situation becomes a real salvation: it binds allergens and toxins, facilitates liver function, and most importantly, it does not harm the baby's health. Removal of dangerous compounds from the body of an allergic person may take some time, and it is reasonable to give Polysorb in a course of 1 month or longer. This is especially true with seasonal reactions.

    How to give Polysorb correctly?

    Since Polysorb is non-toxic and does not contain auxiliary compounds, its overdose does not affect the child's body too much. However, do not forget that even the highest quality sorbent can capture and remove not only toxins, but also vitamins, useful compounds, trace elements. That is why the developed instructions on how to take Polysorb, and in it you can find children's and adult dosage, recalculated in grams, as well as in a teaspoon and tablespoon for convenience.

    The instruction also gives answers to the most common questions, for example, at what age and how many times a day to give the drug, how to dilute it, is it possible to give Polysorb in milk to children or add it to a mixture for infants, is it worth making the child take the medicine and how to do it right persuade the baby to drink an unpleasant suspension.

    The brevity of the instructions, unfortunately, limits the amount of information, but we can consider all the questions in more detail. So, at what age to give the drug and what is the dosage for children?

    Polysorb for children under one year old

    Polysorb is well tolerated and approved for use by pregnant women and during lactation. Moreover, due to the absence of dyes and flavors in the composition, it is the safest in the treatment of asthmatics, children with liver and kidney diseases. The porous structure of silicon dioxide allows the most gentle binding of gases and toxins, without leading to constipation and even stimulating peristalsis in some cases.

    The dose of Polisorb for children is calculated on the basis of weight and ranges from 0.5 to 1.5 teaspoons per day.

    It is absolutely not necessary to give such a volume of the drug once, it is optimal to divide the intake into 3-4 parts and drink the diluted powder in the morning, at lunchtime, at 6-7 pm and directly at night. If we are talking about allergies, then the duration of the intake will be 14 days, and a one-time intake will be equal to about ¼ teaspoon for a third of a glass of water or juice.

    In case of poisoning one-time, the child is given a solution of 2 tablespoons of the drug in a full glass of water. This will allow you to stop vomiting in 1-4 minutes and quickly absorb toxins. The second, third and subsequent techniques must be calculated based on their body weight.

    Children 1-3 years and older

    Weight up to 10 kg is usually in babies up to a year. Accordingly, the amount of sorbent for this age is minimal. Children weighing from 11 to 20-22 kg will require a larger daily amount of sorbent, only the dose in case of poisoning remains unchanged, which is important to give immediately. Treatment for viral infections, allergies and chronic diseases will require about 2 heaping teaspoons per day. The drug should be diluted at each dose separately.

    The problem of children 2-3 years old in this case is not in doses, but in whims. It is difficult to force a three-year-old to drink a rather strange suspension, and the kid still does not understand the word "must".

    Kissels, juices with pulp and tender soufflés, washed down with plenty of water, come to the rescue. Reviews show that every child has a favorite dish that can be “seasoned” with Polysorb. It is even possible to use broths - if you dilute the drug in a liquid puree soup, the sorbent will be more pleasant and easier to drink.

    Older children, weighing from 21 to 30 kg, can be shown a trick with insoluble sugar and add Polysorb to the compote. Food at this age is already very diverse, and there is an opportunity to exchange: drink a tasteless sorbent in exchange for your favorite fruit. The dosage at one time will be about 60 ml, that is, about a heaped teaspoon for half a glass of water.

    Older preschoolers and younger students weighing from 31 to 40 kg receive about 75-100 ml of Polisorb at a time. The allowed options with juices are gradually being replaced by a more correct one - with water. Teenagers up to 60 kg already receive a tablespoon without a slide, and for those who have overcome the mark of 60 kg, a single dose is calculated as a tablespoon with a slide. If Polysorb is prescribed for cleansing, as a concomitant drug for long-term therapy or for intestinal infections, the priority should be given to the doses that the pediatrician has calculated. The instructions describe the basic treatment plan and the most average dosages.

    Polysorb against intoxication

    A variety of indications for the use of Polisorb in children may raise doubts among a hyperresponsible mother, however, if you summarize all the reasons for taking a sorbent, it turns out that the drug solves one problem: it fights intoxication.

    That the symptoms caused by bacteria and viruses are very different from the symptoms food poisoning, it is quite logical, since toxic compounds are completely different and affect the well-being of the child in different ways. However, despite these differences, they remain toxins and have a similar structure. Which, in turn, is perfectly absorbed into the grains of silicon dioxide.

    The mechanism of operation of the sorbent is the same with both liquid and gaseous poisons that enter the digestive tract or arise there during the life of pathogenic microorganisms. This versatility allows the use of a drug that is approved from birth for a wide variety of diseases.

    The elimination of toxins and poisons allows the body to release forces to resist the disease, instead of spending energy to neutralize the poisoning. For a child, such savings are even more important than for an adult and allows them to overcome colds, allergies, rotaviruses and exacerbations of chronic diseases with minimal losses.
