You can buy colorless henna at any pharmacy for mere pennies. To make a classic healing hair mask, henna powder must be properly diluted. For this, glassware is ideal, place a bag of henna (30 g) in it and add hot water (temperature 80 degrees) so that a slightly thick gruel is obtained. Approximately this takes 100 ml of purified water. Instead of water, you can use decoctions of medicinal herbs (chamomile, calendula, nettle, burdock, sage, etc.). Or you can add the pre-crushed specified medicinal herbs(2-3 tbsp. L.) And only then dilute with hot water.

The resulting composition with henna should be massaged onto clean, damp hair. From above, you need to put on a plastic bag or a shower cap, additionally wrap it with a heated towel. The exposure time of the mask depends on the goal you pursue. To accelerate the growth and strengthen the hair, you can keep the mask for 1-1.5 hours, half an hour is enough to restore shine and smoothness. For the first time, it is recommended to hold the composition on the head for no more than half an hour, to see the skin reaction. To enhance the effectiveness of the henna mask, various useful components (fruit pulp, cosmetic and essential oils) can be added to its composition. For dry hair, before applying formulations with henna, the ends of the hair must be lubricated with olive or any other vegetable oil.

At the end of the exposure time, the composition should be thoroughly washed off with heated purified (filtered) water without the use of shampoo. If, in addition to henna, oils are present in the mask, it is necessary to wash off using a delicate shampoo (ideal for children). After such a cosmetic procedure, it is not advisable to use a hairdryer.

A new mixture should be prepared for each mask, do not store leftovers until following procedure... Masks are carried out with treatment courses 1 procedure per week for two months, then as a prophylaxis - once a month. Too much frequent use colorless henna can dry out the hair and scalp, causing the opposite effect.

To achieve a healthy look of hair, which is regularly exposed to thermal effects (curling irons, hair dryers, etc.), staining, sunburn, it is not necessary to purchase many bottles and bottles of miracle remedies in cosmetics stores. Various masks, serums can replace a bag of colorless henna. And to enhance the effect, you can add quite affordable ingredients.

The benefits and harms of henna

In order to cause at least some harm to the hair with colorless henna, you need to try very hard. The benefits of using this overseas plant, namely thornless lawsonia, are much greater. Henna without pigment, which is obtained precisely from the stem of the lawsonia plant, is capable of such help to hair:

  • activates growth and prevents cutting;
  • prevents dandruff, and if it is already there, it helps to get rid of it;
  • provides protection against extreme temperatures (summer sun, hair dryer, frosty weather, etc.);
  • envelops the hairs with an invisible film, so the hair looks thicker and healthier;
  • maintains the health of the scalp, does not cause allergic manifestations;
  • slows down the production of sebum, therefore it is great for use by girls with the problem of the rapid onset of oily hair;
  • when preparing a special composition, colorless henna with systematic use will help to achieve the "wow" effect on the hair.

There are many positive aspects when using colorless henna, but this is provided that a quality product was purchased without admixture of powder from the leaves of Lavsonia. Otherwise, you can accidentally get a reddish tint of the strands.

There is only one way you can harm your hair: if you use henna too often. Dry hair will not tolerate the use of henna more than once a month, oily hair can be pleased with this remedy more often - once every two weeks or ten days. Excessive use of henna will dry out your hair and make it look more like a shock of hay than silk.

How to properly apply henna to your hair?

Henna is a rather specific product, the application of which is not like the usual use of a shampoo or mask. In order for henna to have the most beneficial effect on the hair, several conditions must be met:

  • apply the composition with henna only to clean and damp hair (so that no water flows from them);
  • use henna immediately after preparation, keeping only time for its infusion. It is impossible to store mixtures;
  • it is better to just rinse off lawsonia powder without fatty ingredients with water, and those mixtures that contain additives of essential oils or vegetable fats can be washed off with shampoo;
  • after applying gruel with henna to the hair, it is worth wrapping your head in plastic or something similar: a shower cap, a bag.

It is most convenient to apply masks with henna with a special staining brush, observing the same principle:

  1. divide the hair into several parts (presumably into 3: the parting from the forehead to the back of the head will divide the crown section into two parts, the rest - from ear to ear). Select one for work, fasten the rest with hairpins so that they do not interfere;
  2. part by parting, apply the composition to the root zone, gradually distributing the gruel along the entire length of the strands;
  3. having processed one part of the hair, they move on to the next.

After maintaining the required amount of time, wash off the henna thoroughly from the entire length of the curls. The remnants of the product will unnecessarily dry out the hair, so it is a simple necessity to rinse your hair with high quality.

How much to keep colorless henna on your hair?

The exposure time of the composition with colorless henna on the hair may differ, depending on the excipients. Masks based on henna with oils act on the scalp and hair much softer than in pure form, therefore, you can keep colorless henna longer (but within the recommended time specified in the recipe).

Various impurities in the form of kefir, yolks and other useful components soften the effect of henna on the hair, but it is still worth keeping exactly the time indicated in the recipe. Wash off the composition with a mild shampoo (if necessary), but it is best to use only water.

How often can colorless henna be used?

The frequency of application of formulations with powder of lawsonia stalk directly depends on the condition of the scalp and hair. Oily skin, namely, the intensive work of the sebaceous glands provokes rapid pollution of the hair, because of which they can become fat even for 12 hours. In this case, it is permissible to use henna formulations once a week.

Dry and brittle strands with split ends are treated with treatment no more than once every two weeks (or even once a month). This also applies to hair with dry sensitive scalp.

Colorless henna is a natural hair care product. She can take a worthy place in the arsenal of those girls and women who constantly make masks, take care of themselves, experiment with their appearance and take care of their health.

Today I will tell you about my universal hair mask for all times and occasions. I got her recipe from one master about 10 years ago, I tried many others, but this one is the best.

So, I have dry, thin, "thin hairs" by nature, paint does not hold on them, hairstyles, styling, volume is not observed. And the hair also looks damaged, "splits" and begins to crumble monstrously in periods!

In my life, I have very rarely had a good haircut or combed, for a master must be handy and from God! I often leave the master in tears, because with such hair and crooked hands, the result is terrible, but afterwards I hear: “What do you want with such and such hair?”.
And then one day one craftswoman said to me: "Yes, your hair is normal, you just need to help them, I will give you the secret of the miracle of the mask and you will forget about all the troubles!" And she was right ...

Let's get started ...

The recipe for the mask is very simple: henna, kefir, yolk.

Henna: The healing properties of henna have long been known throughout the world. It has an antiseptic, strengthening, restorative effect. Prevents hair loss, strengthens hair follicles. It is also a great dandruff remedy.
Recently I read in the instructions for henna, bought in a natural cosmetics store, that henna even slows down the "aging process of hair."
It also makes hair harder, more voluminous, smoother, shinier, and is a natural dye. Women in India and Iran use henna extensively for hair care and are renowned for good, thick, beautiful hair.

Kefir: Probably everyone has heard about the benefits of kefir shampoos. It turns out that kefir is just what you need for your hair - it's pure protein, in other words, protein. It strengthens, nourishes the hair, fills it with vitality, makes it smooth and shiny. Do you want to "feed" your damaged hair- serve kefir for them!

Yolk: It's just a vitamin bomb. Yolk chicken eggs Is a supply of vitamins and nutrients. It contains a large amount of: calcium, iron, manganese, zinc, vitamins of groups A, E, a loading dose of vitamin B and phosphorus (they are contained in anti-hair loss shampoos in large quantities and strengthen the hair roots ), as well as proteins.

As you understand, using all this together we get: Vitamin, nourishing, healing, strengthening hair bomb!

Preparation and application:
For shoulder-length hair, I take 1 pack of natural henna, pour it into a deep plate. I add the yolk there (first, I put the egg on the table or in warm water, so that the yolk is warm, not cold from the refrigerator).
I add 2/3 cups of warm kefir (I first put a glass of kefir in hot water or in the microwave for a couple of seconds), mix everything thoroughly with a fork.
You should get a homogeneous warm mixture of the color of a child's surprise, in consistency, like sour cream (not thick and not too liquid). If the mixture turned out to be very thick (this happens due to the different fat content of kefir, if the kefir is homemade or high fat, the mixture is thick), you need to pour in a little hot water (for example, 2-4 tablespoons).

I put on a T-shirt for dyeing my hair or, what is not a pity, I cover my shoulders with a scarf made of film (a bag). First I apply the mask to the roots of the hair, massage the scalp well, then distribute the remaining mass to all the hair, cover the hair with a film, wrap it in a towel (preferably dark, henna dyes). After that, you need to wash your hands well, wipe the henna with a cotton pad from the face and skin on the neck. And go read a book or do your own thing.

The mask must be kept for at least 1 hour - maximum as much as you want. I usually do it on a day off in the morning, while I do the cleaning, I wash it off after 2-3 hours. We wash off the mask first with warm water (not boiling water, otherwise you will boil the egg and kefir into protein pellets, they are difficult to wash off), after washing your hair, as usual, with shampoo (preferably 2 times) and balm.

The mask should be done once a week. I saw a good result after 3-4 times.
With profuse hair loss, I do it 2 times a week, after 5-6 times not a single hair falls off the head, the loss completely stops (I can wash my hair, put it with a hairdryer and in the bathroom, on the floor, on clothes, a hairbrush).

Result
Thick, shiny, sleek hair. Hair becomes denser and "thicker", for me, as the owner of thin and thin hair, this is important. No dandruff and most importantly - complete elimination of hair loss(with regular use), no split ends. Volume appears, this is due to the fact that henna makes the hair more elastic. Hair grows faster and thicker.

The picture below shows that the hairs are "thick" and elastic, there is a small volume! My hair looks normal and thick enough, despite the fact that I have it "very thin", I think they can be counted overnight!

I am very happy with this recipe. Now I come to have my hair cut, I start whining, they say, I have such problem hair, the master looks crooked and says: “What are you, you have beautiful hair, you still do not know what bad hair! Such rat tails are killed! " The haircuts look better now and the volume lasts all day.

pros

  • The recipe is cheap for the price
  • Available products
  • Simple (I described everything so boringly and in detail)
  • Good result and versatility
  • Suitable for girls who use henna for hair coloring
  • Has an obvious effect against hair loss

Minuses

  • Like any care, it requires regularity
  • Time (if the dearest half is not accustomed to your "female secrets", you have to raft, don't know where, don't know why, and for a long time. he is the most beautiful woman in the world in a bag. And I walk around and laugh, they say, you see how I make you happy, in short, we have an idyll, but it's better not to shock the faint of heart).
  • Henna has a specific smell, some do not like it, if you wash your hair badly, the smell of grass from the hair can still hold for 1 day (But I really like it, and my husband, too, sits sniffing me Says that I smell delicious, naturally)

Recipe improvement

  • If you want to speed up hair growth, add a tablespoon of sweet almond oil (it is a well-known hair growth activator) into this mask.
  • If you have very strong shedding hair - add a tablespoon of burdock oil (it strengthens the hair roots).
  • If you need an anti-aging effect on your hair, add a spoonful of olive oil (it is rich in vitamin E and a well-known antioxidant and anti-aging agent). With oils, the mask rinses off worse, rinsing the hair is longer and more difficult.
  • The beneficial effects of coconut oil on hair have also been noted for a long time. Having a dense structure, it completely covers the hair, protecting the cuticle from various damage, both chemical and mechanical. And, importantly, it prevents protein loss.
