The situation with a libel claim in this context looks especially surprising. The question of whether Oleg Tinkov asked any of his acquaintances for help in legal disputes with bloggers, and if so, whether these people were connected with the law enforcement system, the banker’s official representatives considered it incorrect and did not answer it. Nevertheless, Tinkov’s lawyer Viktor Petrov still clarified that the operatives from Petrovka did not fly to Kemerovo for a civil lawsuit:

Oleg Tinkov’s lawyer told Business FM that the banker did everything to close this criminal proceeding. According to Viktor Petrov, now bloggers should write a statement of reconciliation, and then everyone will be happy. However, YouTube stars do not want reconciliation, says their lawyer Alexander Zinurov:

Details about the termination of the trial have not yet been published. But news appeared online that Oleg Tinkov and his credit institution withdrew their claims, which were filed with the Central District Court in Kemerovo.
The background of the story
The reason for Tinkov’s dissatisfaction, we recall, was a video that was posted on the Pechersky and Pskovitin channel. The channel is called Nemagia and specializes in producing parody videos.
The video about Tinkov contained an interview with the banker in which he talked about himself and his work at a financial institution. After this publication, a wave of dissatisfaction and indignation followed on the part of Tinkoff and, of course, a lawsuit in which the bank’s board demanded to remove the video material from the network, prohibit its distribution and reimburse 500,000 rubles as compensation for damage caused to the bank’s business reputation.
The whole country followed the development of events and waited impatiently to see how this story would end. But unexpectedly, Tinkov’s representatives made a statement in the Kemerovo court in the fall. The statement said that the claims were withdrawn and the case was dropped, because the principal “of his own free will” did not want to continue the lawsuit and demand financial penalties from the bloggers.

No one began to talk about why Tinkov changed his opinion so abruptly. Even curious journalists, alas, failed to find out.
It is reported that Kemerovo court judge Elena Isakova terminated the proceedings in the case. At the same time, all measures taken during the trial have been cancelled.
As a result, Roskomnadzor unblocked the video, and it is now available for viewing and distribution. Tinkov, according to preliminary data, also withdrew the lawsuit filed earlier with the police against Pskovitin and Pechersky.
Rumors about the high-profile case even reached the head of state. The information was conveyed by none other than Maxim Shevchenko, a member of the Human Rights Council. He told Vladimir Putin about the controversial situation between bloggers from Kemerovo and the founder of Tinkoff Bank.
The capital's operational group in Kemerovo, without orders or court decisions, searched the house of the guys who posted the video about Tinkov. During the search, equipment was confiscated. Putin reacted sharply to such information, calling this behavior of the task force complete “lawlessness.”
Many believed that an official statement from Tinkov would appear online, in which he would explain the reasons for suspending the case. After all, previously the banker tried to stand up for himself, to protect his name and the name of his own financial institution.
After a while, it became clear that Oleg Tinkov was not going to make any comments, and the previously published video about him and the bank did not seem to bother him.
