We are the masters of nature, and for us it is a pantry of the sun
with the great treasures of life. Fish - water, bird -
air, to the beast - forest, steppes, mountains. But a person needs a homeland, and protecting nature means protecting the Motherland.
M. Prishvin.

All over the world, on March 20, at the initiative of the UN, Earth Day is celebrated. Moreover, in the calendar of international holidays there are two Earth Days: one is celebrated on the Vernal Equinox, and the second on April 22. The first has a peacekeeping and humanistic orientation, the second - environmental.

There is one garden planet
In this cold space.
Only here the forests are noisy,
Calling migratory birds.
It's the only one they bloom on
Lilies of the valley in the green grass,
And dragonflies are only here
They look into the river in surprise...
Take care of your planet
After all, there is no other one like it!
Y. Akim

The date March 20 was chosen and officially approved in 1971 by the UN for Earth Day precisely because the spring equinox falls at this time, when the biological rhythm of the planet changes and it moves to a new stage of its development, when nature awakens and renews itself.

People became strong like gods
And the fate of the Earth is in their hands.
But terrible burns darken
The globe is on its sides.
We have long mastered the planet,
The new century is sweeping ahead.
There are no longer white spots on Earth,
Will you erase the black ones, Man?
V. Orlova

The UN message says: “Earth Day is a special time that is intended to attract the attention of all people to the awareness of planet Earth as their common home, to feel our universal community and mutual dependence on each other.”

The founder of this Day is considered to be the famous American public figure John Morton, who in the 1840s launched a campaign to plant trees and shrubs as part of a program for every citizen of the country to respect the environment. And when he became Secretary of the Nebraska Territory in 1872, he proposed establishing a day dedicated to landscaping. This is how Arbor Day appeared, which immediately became very popular.

What is going on on our beautiful Earth!?
Isn't it time to stop! Everyone grab their heads!
Call on human knowledge and your self-awareness for help?
Let's hurry up and save our Earth from harm!

Today is Earth Day - a worldwide movement of civil initiatives in defense of the planet as a common global Home, uniting many different events and actions, both environmental and environmental, and peacekeeping. This is not so much a holiday as an occasion to once again think about the problems of a fragile and vulnerable environment, the problems of relationships between humans and the surrounding world.

Our native home, our common home -
The land where you and I live!
Just look around:
There is a river here, a green meadow there.
You can't get through the dense forest,
You won't find water in the desert

And somewhere there is a mountain of snow,
And somewhere it’s hot in winter...
We can’t count all the miracles,
They have one name -
Forests and mountains and seas,
Everything is called Earth!

I. Petrosyan

In Russia, Earth Day is celebrated as part of the Days of Protection from Environmental Hazards. Among the most popular events in protecting and improving the environment held on this day in different parts of our planet are environmental exhibitions and festivals, marathons and conferences about nature, cleaning streets and areas in cities, planting trees and stopping traffic on busy roads. streets of major cities, cultural events and concerts...

Every year, as part of Earth Day, in the vast majority of countries, it is certainly customary to ring the Peace Bell for one minute, which is a symbol of peaceful life, friendship and solidarity of all peoples, and a call to action in the name of preserving culture and the best achievements of humanity. And the meaning of this ceremony is that during this minute, people think about how to preserve our beautiful planet, how to improve life on it, to feel like residents and part of the Earth.

I am the living planet Earth
I am the hot flame of fire
And white cold snow,
I am a little raindrop.
And the water of all seas and rivers.
I am an explosion, a volcanic eruption,
And the quiet wind and fluffy clouds,
I am the ocean's unsolved mystery
And the living planet Earth
I am the invisible shadow of the moon,
And bright sunlight
I am the ghost of a distant star.
Living for thousands of years.

L. Pacing

The first Peace Bell was cast in 1954 in memory of the tragedy of Japanese cities that survived the nuclear bombing, and installed at the UN headquarters in New York. It is cast from coins collected by children from all continents; orders and medals and other honorary badges of people from many countries are also fused into it. The inscription on the Bell reads: “Long live universal peace throughout the world.” Then similar bells began to be installed in other countries - Japan (1954), Germany, Poland, Turkey (1989), Mexico (1990), Australia (1992), Mongolia (1993), Canada (1996), Brazil (1997), Argentina (1998), Ecuador (1999), Uzbekistan (2003) and other countries. Russia joined the Peace Bell on Earth Day campaign in 1998.

Bell of Peace in Novosibirsk.

Earth Day also has its own flag depicting one of the first photographs of our planet from space. This is a sign of awareness that only through joint efforts can we solve global environmental and social problems on Earth. Therefore, it is no coincidence that this holiday is actively supported by astronauts. After all, they were the first to tell the world how beautiful and defenseless our planet is, and how it needs the careful treatment of all of us

I hugged the globe.
One is over land and water.
Continents are in my hands
They quietly whisper to me: “Take care.”
Forest and valley in green paint
They tell me: “Be kind to us.
Don't trample us and don't burn us.
Take care in winter and summer."
A deep river gurgles,
Yours, caressing the shores.
And I hear the voice of the river:
“Take care of us, take care of us.”
I hear all the birds and fish:
"We ask you, man,
Promise us and don't lie,
Take care of us like an older brother.”
I hugged the globe,
And something happened to me.
And suddenly I whispered: “I won’t lie,
I will save you, my dear.”

April 22 is International Earth Day - a holiday of clean Water, Earth and Air. A day of reminders of terrible environmental disasters, a day when every person can think about what they can do to solve environmental problems, overcoming indifference in themselves. After all, neither forests, nor rivers, nor lakes, nor meadows can take care of themselves. Neither birds, nor insects, nor small animals can protect themselves, even large ones sometimes cannot protect themselves..

The history of this holiday is connected with the name of a resident of the American continent, John Morton. At the end of the 19th century, John Sterling Morton moved to the desert prairie of Nebraska, whose lonely trees were being intensively cut down to build houses and for firewood. Morton proposed a gardening day and prizes for those who planted a large number of trees. This day was called Tree Day.

During the first Tree Day, residents of the state planted about 1 million trees. In 1882, the state of Nebraska declared Arbor Day a state holiday. It was celebrated on Morton's birthday - April 22.

Since 1970, the idea of the holiday has changed. In 1969, a terrible environmental disaster occurred near the American city of Santa Barbara. Then millions of tons of oil spilled from the wells killed many pelicans, cranes, ducks, sea lions, and other animals, hectares of vegetation died, and the water was poisoned. Since then, environmental protection has played a leading role in the celebration. A new name also appeared - EARTH DAY. A few years later the holiday became worldwide. Since 1990, Russian organizations have also joined in the celebration.

On April 22, everyone who is not indifferent to the future of our planet, and therefore their own future, who is not indifferent to what future generations will see of our planet, can make their contribution as much as possible by taking part in International Earth Day.

In our country, Earth Day is celebrated with conferences, cleaning up the area, and planting trees.

Left alone in the forest, in the steppe, on the river, in the field, in the swamp, a person is left alone with his conscience. She is the only controller for a person. And perhaps one of the most important tasks that faces those who want to save nature on the planet is to awaken in people a conscience, an understanding of what can be done and what cannot be done.

He carelessly pressed it down with his foot.
You stand and don’t worry about anything
And mechanically you tear another one.

He stretched his head towards the sun.

He believed in human friendship,
I did not know the cruelty of the hand,
I trust you to meet me
He raised his petals.

And he is for you and everyone who is nearby,
Will give beauty and joy -
Everything - everything that is full and rich.

2 student. Our class created a series of signs to protect our land.

Children take turns showing signs:

1. DO NOT shoot! Don't kill animals!!!

2. You cannot tear up plants unnecessarily. They are beautiful.

3. Attention! Flower! Every flower, every blade of grass is a piece of living nature.

4. Logging is prohibited. The forest is our wealth, our salvation.

6. Do not leave garbage; there are special containers and places for this.

There must be order on the planet.

Let the water always flow in the river,
May the birds always sing above us,
And we ourselves will help nature,
We will multiply this joy with you.

The Tale of the Man and the Goldfish."

There lived a Man.
Not high and not low,
neither fat nor thin,
neither smart nor stupid.
In general, an average person.
There are many of these in this world.
Hunted animals
caught fish
breathed fresh air,
drank spring water,
admired the sunsets.

One day a man was fishing. Suddenly the hook twitches. Man and let's pull the prey out of the water. He pulled it out and couldn’t believe his eyes: the fish in front of him was golden, just like in a fairy tale.

- "Who are you? – The man asks in a whisper, but he doesn’t believe his eyes. “Yes, I am a goldfish,” ? The unknown creature answers in a pleasant voice.

“By the way, I can fulfill desires. I can fulfill my wishes - just wag my tail. If you let me go, I will fulfill all your wishes.”

The Man thought. “Okay,” he says, I’ll let you go. And my first desire will be this: I’m tired of living in this wooden hut.

I want a stone house, but with electricity and central heating.”

The Fish did not answer, slipped out of the man’s hands, and only wagged its tail. The Man returned home, and in the place of his hut there was a white stone house. There were fewer trees around, though there were poles with wires.

Everything in the house is sparkling clean, there is beautiful furniture in the corners.

Water flows from the tap. The Man was happy. “This is life,” he says.

He walks around the rooms day after day, admiring them. I even started walking less often in the forest. And then he completely decided: “Why would I walk if I can ask Rybka for a car.”

No sooner said than done.

The Man got a car, the forest paths turned into asphalt, and the flower meadows turned into parking lots. A happy man breathes gasoline. There are, however, fewer birds and animals around. And the Man went completely wild.

“Why do I need this forest at all? Come on, Rybka, make sure that in its place there are endless fields. I want to become rich.” The forest disappeared - as if it never happened.

In its place, potatoes are growing, wheat is heading.

A happy man is counting the harvest.

He lives like this - he knows no grief.

He collects the harvest, doesn’t pay attention to sunsets, water flows from his tap, he doesn’t need to go to the spring. Everything seems to be good, but the Man wants something new.

He thought and thought and decided to start a plant.

There is a lot of space around, let it work and bring profit.

The Man went to the Fish - I want, they say. Expand industrial production. The fish sighed heavily and asked: “What kind of plant do you want – chemical or metallurgical?” “Yes, I don’t care. If only there was more profit.” - “There will be a factory for you. But know this: this is my last wish that I can fulfill.” The Man did not pay attention to these words, but in vain.

He returned home and saw a huge factory standing near his house, with pipes visible and invisible.

Some send clouds of smoke into the air, others pour streams of dirty water into the river. There is a noise, a roar. “It’s okay, I’ll get used to it, the main thing is to get rich quickly.” He fell asleep that day and had a strange dream. It was as if everything around was the same as before.

The forest is noisy, the birds are singing.

A Man walks through the forest, communicates with animals, smells flowers, listens to bird songs, picks berries,

washes with spring water. And he felt so good in his sleep, so calm. The man woke up in the morning with a smile,

and all around there is smoke, soot, it’s impossible to breathe. The Man coughed and ran to the tap to drink some water.

Lo and behold, dirty water comes out of the tap. The Man remembered his spring with crystal water. He ran into the forest.

He runs, climbs over mountains of garbage, jumps over dirty streams. I barely found a stream.

He looks and the water in it is cloudy and has an unpleasant smell.

I looked around - smoke, stench, roar.

All that was left of the trees were stumps.

Muddy streams flow into the river, crows caw in landfills, forest roads are flooded with gasoline, not a single flower is to be seen.

The man remembered his dream. “What have I done? How will I live now?” I ran to the river to look for fish. Called - called - no Rybka. Only foam floats on dirty water. The Fish had mercy and swam. Only its gold is not visible under a layer of fuel oil. The Man was delighted and said to the Fish: “I don’t need anything, just give me back my green forest and clean fontanelles.” Do everything as it was, I won’t ask for anything else.”

The fish paused and answered:

“No, Man, I won’t be able to do anything anymore: my magical power has disappeared from dirt and poisons. Now think for yourself what you will do to stay alive.”

The Man sat down on the shore, clasped his head in his hands and thought.

Leading. The environmental problems that exist on our planet are the business of each of us. What problems were discussed in the fairy tale? What way out of this situation do you see?

If humanity does not change its thoughtless, ruthless, irresponsible attitude towards nature, it will face an environmental disaster and die.

1 student. Ecology is the science of home and nature.

After all, nature is our big common home.

2 student. We are used to our home being clean and comfortable. And we must keep our home clean.

3 student. Every year there are fewer and fewer forests left on our planet. The air and water bodies are polluted. And they are necessary for human life. Because of all this, many animals and plants suffer, and people get sick.

4 student. The earth is our breadwinner. We must protect the earth, take care of it, increase its fertility. And the earth today is cut up and trampled. Waste (industrial, radiation) is buried in it, and household waste is dumped.

5 student. For example, it takes only 90 years for a tin can to decompose in the ground, 2-10 years for paper, 100 years for a cigarette filter, and 200 years for a plastic bag.

Identifying an environmental problem.

There is a spring in our village, it is located on its outskirts. The water there is clear, like a tear, it is cold and fresh. This natural water is very healthy, not like chlorinated water from the tap.

They say that spring water is the purest. But is it? Not really. For example, there are two ways to our source: you can walk along a narrow path or drive a car along an asphalt road. Villagers and townspeople often come and come here to fill cans and flasks with spring water. Lovers of outdoor recreation also often stop here. Unfortunately, people have become selfish about natural sources, polluting them.

One day our whole class went to fly kites outside the village. Returning, we wanted to quench our thirst with spring water. When we approached the source, we saw garbage all around: plastic bottles, plastic bags, cans, broken glass, paper and much more. Tall weeds surrounded the spring. We decided to restore order here.

A brief description of a socially beneficial activity to eliminate the problem.

What can a simple person do to help nature? First of all, don’t litter, don’t leave fires in the forest, and don’t offend animals. And if everyone fulfills certain requirements, then the planet can still be saved.

We held a meeting in class with our parents and decided to go to the cleanup day. First we collected all the garbage around the spring. My parents cut down the weeds, and we raked dry leaves and swept the area. The work was progressing. Although it took a lot of work to make the area around the fontanel sparkle with cleanliness.

Social significance of the results of environmental activities.

The Earth is so far the only home of humanity, and environmental pollution is our common problem. Today, more than ever, it is important to shape the ecological worldview of the younger generation, because environmentally illiterate behavior is the cause of environmental disasters and catastrophes. It is important to awaken in children a sense of empathy for what is happening to the environment, an understanding that it needs to be protected and protected. It seems that this can be done through influencing the emotional and sensory sphere of young people.

When the children and their parents cleaned the area around the spring, it became clear how friendly they were working, how they wanted to make this place cleaner, more comfortable, and more beautiful. People coming to the water and seeing such purity, perhaps, will think about their behavior and begin to appreciate and cherish the beauty of nature.

Caring for nature is our sacred duty!

Dad, mom and I are our friendly family. We work and relax together.

Hardworking and friendly guys have a good job.

This is what the site near the spring looked like after our friendly work.

Planet Earth is the third planet from the Sun. In the solar system, Earth is the fifth largest planet. Planet Earth is the only known place in the Universe where life exists. Scientists believe that the Earth was formed about 5 billion years ago. In the process of formation, the Earth acquired the Moon - its natural satellite. Approximately 70% of the total area of the planet is occupied by the World Ocean, the remaining 30% is accounted for by the entire landmass of the planet. It takes the Earth 23 hours and 56 minutes to complete a revolution around its axis. Planet Earth moves around the Sun in an elliptical orbit at an average speed of 29 km/sec and completes a full revolution around the Sun in 365.26 days. These are all facts calculated by scientists, but how did the Earth itself come into being?

Planet Earth

Planet Earth formed from a large cloud of gas and dust. This cloud initially rotated at a very low speed, but as it became denser, the speed increased. Energy and matter coming from space causes the center to heat up. When the particle clumps reached 800 meters in diameter, their weight became enough that their gravitational force could attract other matter. These clumps formed about 20 planets in the inner Solar system. After some time, the planets orbiting the Sun began to collide. With each collision, two planets formed one. After all the collisions, 4 planets known to us were formed: Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars.

Young Earth.

The temperature of the young Earth was 4,700ºC. The earth was slowly cooling, there was still no atmosphere or water on it, but only seething lava flows and extreme temperatures. After some more time, the Earth was awaiting the most terrible collision in its entire history. This collision subsequently formed the Moon. The collision shifted the Earth's axis, causing seasons to appear on Earth. This collision was a key event in shaping life on Earth as we know it. But it was still impossible to survive on Earth. There was no water yet, the temperature was too high for humans, the atmosphere was denser than it is now. Therefore, to create life, the Earth had to undergo several more transformations.

Where did water come from on Earth?

People have been trying to solve the question of the emergence of life on Earth for a long time. But scientists began to study the question of where water comes from on the planet quite recently. According to their version, water was brought to the planet by a comet. But after launching a research apparatus on several comets, scientists discovered that the water on the comets is not similar to the water that is on the planet. It turns out that water was not brought to Earth by comets. After studying a meteorite that fell in Canada in January 2000, scientists discovered water on it. After studying the trajectory of its fall, it turned out that the meteorite fell to Earth from the outer boundary of the asteroid belt. Scientists have put forward a new theory about the appearance of water on the planet. In the distant past, Jupiter changed the orbits of thousands of asteroids, sending them towards Earth. And then the Earth was bombed. Explosion after explosion, asteroids created the oceans we see today. Water conquered the Earth in less than 150 million years.
